SpCas9 mRNA (ARCA, 5mCTP, ψUTP)
SpCas9 mRNA (ARCA, 5mCTP, ψUTP) encodes Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 (SpCas9), the widely used endonuclease for CRISPR-based genome editing. This mRNA is optimized with an Anti-Reverse Cap Analog (ARCA) for efficient translation initiation, while 5-methylcytidine triphosphate (5mCTP) and pseudouridine triphosphate (ψUTP) modifications enhance mRNA stability, reduce immunogenicity, and improve protein expression in mammalian cells. When combined with a guide RNA (gRNA), SpCas9 enables precise gene knockout, insertion, or correction for applications in gene therapy, functional genomics, and biotechnology research.
